The SPEAR System

Most established styles and systems teach you a standardized syllabus of complex movements and a combative mindset that you are expected to use by almost forcing that mindset and movements into whatever the scenario may be,
For example if the attacker punches WE WILL GET AGGRESSIVE AND DO THIS
if grabbed WE WILL DO THIS.

This is not what our primary emphasis should be when teaching self-defense.
Tony Blauer, the founder of the SPEAR system, has spent over 30 years researching, experimenting and finding out what the body and mind wants to and will do, or how we will react and respond when threatened with danger or violence.

He's created components of the system that teaches you how to understand and manage your shock or fear getting you back in action to deal with the threat,
and has designed a system that embraces those natural responses and reactions and converts them into tactical responses using simple effective movements that anyone is capable of.
So in short we learn to accept, adapt to and manage the scenario instead of trying to force our way through it.
